Welcome to the page of award winning, horror filmmaker Ryan M. Andrews
World famous French New Wave director, Jean Luc Goddard, once said “All you need for a movie is a gun and a girl.” With Blackguardism Creations, we believe all you need for a HORROR movie is blood and a girl.
RYAN M. ANDREWS: Director/Writer/CEO of Blackguardism Creations
Ryan M. Andrews’ name is synonymous with horror, as he has built quite the reputation in Hollywood North as a horror Guru. The Toronto, Ontario filmmaker (referred to as a writer that’s “a cut above the rest” by some of his peers in the industry) has focused plenty of time and energy honing his screenwriting ability. With an endless supply of scripts in his back pocket, Ryan has written in all genres, not only for himself, but for other Directors and Producers throughout North America.
In addition to his passion for telling a great story—and belief that there is an endless supply of original stories still to be told—Ryan attended film school at both Niagara College and Trebas Institute in Toronto, Ontario. Graduating at the top of his class, Ryan shot his first short film on 16MM. And after shooting a number of other short films (all based on his own scripts) he directed his first feature film, THE ART OF INFAMY. Presented as a documentary, the film followed a female serial killer who documented her crimes while teaching her eight rules to becoming a successful serial killer. The movie played all across the USA through one of the biggest names in horror, FANGORIA TV.
Wanting to switch things up and show his diversity in the horror genre, for his second feature Ryan directed, A NEW DESIGN: an obscure horror-Noir. His third feature, BLACK EVE, also went in a completely different direction, as it is a classic 80’s style slasher horror. Ryan continues to tackle every aspect of the horror genre, adding the right touch to each story.
Ryan has also worked with many musicians (including Grammy Short-list Nominees, Scarlet Sins) — shooting music videos and live concerts. Whether as a writer, producer, director, or all three, Ryan’s is dedicated to mixing the art of filmmaking and storytelling with a commitment to entertain.
